Celebrating Environmental Month (THEMATIC)

 We pay tribute to the earth this month and consider the important that environmental preservation is. We must act in our daily lives in response to the increasing awareness of ecological degradation and climate change. Environmental Month is a time to remember that every little bit helps in the group's quest for a sustainable future. We can all do our part to maintain the health of our planet, whether it is via conservation, neighborhood projects, or little lifestyle adjustments. Here, I would like to show my contribution in protecting and caring for our environment through various actions.

Assisting a fellow Girl Scout in setting up a herbary garden supported local biodiversity and provided a space for learning about native plants.

Planting trees improves green spaces and absorbs carbon dioxide, which helps fight climate change.

I participated in a neighborhood recycling program, which helped spread the word about the value of recycling and motivated people to recycle correctly.

Participating in a school clean-up helped remove litter from our campus, promoting a cleaner and more inviting environment for everyone.

Choosing to Keep Going (REFLECTION)

  

  I gained a deeper comprehension of the Internet's history and workings over this quarter. Studying the history of the World Wide Web, from Sputnik's launch to its creation, brought to light the cooperative efforts that built modern communication. I learned how different protocols, such HTTP and TCP/IP, allow for data transport and how crucial domain names are for using the internet. In addition, finding out about the contributions made by influential individuals like Marc Andreessen and the pioneers of Internet architecture provided insight on the breakthroughs that changed the face of the digital world.

Understanding the technical facets of networking protocols and how they affect Internet functionality was one of the biggest obstacles I had to overcome. The early complexity of the interaction between many protocols was daunting. In addition, when I tried to start a blog, I ran into mental difficulties. Even while I liked writing because it gave me a free forum for self-expression, there were moments when these challenges made it hard for me to get my ideas out.  

I looked for more resources, such as publications and online tutorials that broke down difficult ideas, to help me overcome these obstacles. I had conversations with classmates, which made my knowledge more clear. When I ran into creative blocks when blogging, I took pauses and looked into other subjects to get my creative juices back. Making graphic aids, such as timelines and charts.

I plan to further expand my understanding of Internet technology in the future by delving into more complex subjects. To improve my ability to work with others and apply what I've learned to real-world situations, I want to take part in group projects and conversations. I'll also continue to be interested in new technologies and how they might affect society, so I can stay up to date on this ever changing sector. I'll also concentrate on figuring out how to get beyond mental obstacles so that I may continue to love blogging and express myself.

Standing United, Honouring the Dedication of Teachers (Draft 4)

Though the theme of National Teachers Month 2024 is "Together4Teachers," I can't help but think about the amazing influence that educators have had on both my life and the lives of countless others. Teachers serve as mentors, counselors, and occasionally even second parents in addition to being educators. Their commitment, endurance, and diligence mold not only the individual pupils but also the destiny of our country as a whole.

I deeply appreciate the countless hours they put into their work, often going beyond what is required to ensure that every student has a chance to succeed. Whether it's staying late to offer extra help, or finding creative ways to make learning come alive, teachers continuously show their commitment to helping us grow as individuals.

This month, I am reminded that we all have a role to play in supporting and honoring our teachers. It’s not just about expressing gratitude, but also ensuring they have the resources, respect, and opportunities they deserve. Together, we can help create a future where teachers feel valued and empowered to continue shaping generations to come.

Let’s stand united, not just today, but always, in recognizing the invaluable contributions of our teachers.💗

Strengthening the Philippines, Navigating Natural Disasters and Climate Risks (Draft 3)

 The Philippines, an archipelago prone to natural disasters, faces significant challenges due to its geographical location. Because of its location, the Philippines, an archipelago vulnerable to natural disasters, faces many difficulties. The nation's resilience is regularly put to the test by typhoons, earthquakes, and volcanic eruptions, which result in fatalities, displaced people, and economic devastation. The increasing impacts of climate change have exacerbated these issues, leading to more intense and unpredictable weather patterns. The country's vulnerability is further compounded by socio-economic inequalities that leave marginalized communities more exposed to these hazards.

In response to these challenges, the Philippines has implemented various strategies to enhance its disaster preparedness and response capabilities. The government has strengthened early warning systems, improved infrastructure to withstand extreme weather, and promoted community-based disaster risk reduction programs. International partnerships and aid have also played a crucial role in providing resources and expertise for disaster response and recovery. Additionally, efforts to integrate climate change adaptation into national planning aim to address the long-term impacts of global warming on the country.

However, several challenges remain in building a truly resilient Philippines. Letter to the President of the Philippines

 Greetings, President Marcos, I hope you are well and in good spirits when you receive this message. 

 As a concerned citizen with a strong bond with our beloved Philippines, a country rich in endurance, culture, and history, I am writing to you. I must admit that I have conflicting feelings about the enormous responsibility that come with your leadership role. To start with, I want to say how much I love our nation and how much I hope it will continue to develop and prosper under your leadership. It is admirable how committed you are to enhancing the infrastructure, the economy, and the welfare of Filipinos. I'm thankful that there have been apparent advancements in a number of areas. First and foremost, I want to express my love for our country and my sincere hope that under your administration, the Philippines will continue to grow and prosper. Your dedication to improving the economy, infrastructure, and the well-being of Filipinos is commendable. There have been noticeable improvements in various sectors, and for that, I am grateful.

However, alongside this gratitude comes a deep sense of worry. I worry about the direction our country is taking, particularly in terms of governance, transparency, and the protection of human rights. There are moments when it feels like the voice of the people is not being heard, and that decisions are made without sufficient regard for the long term consequences on our democracy and our society. Moreover, I cannot help but feel a sense of anger when I see instances of corruption, inequality, and injustice. It is disheartening to witness these issues persist despite the efforts of many to address them. I believe that as the leader of our nation, you have the power and responsibility to take a firm stand against these challenges and lead by example. My sincere love for our country compels me to speak out, to hope for better, and to hold our leaders accountable. I believe that true patriotism involves not just celebrating our successes, but also addressing our flaws and striving for a better future for all Filipinos.

I hope that you will take these sentiments into consideration as you continue to lead our nation. The Philippines is a country with immense potential, and with the right guidance, we can achieve great things. I urge you to listen to the voices of the people, to prioritize transparency and justice, and to work towards a brighter future for all.

 Hello everyone! My name is Lavinia Jea  Rabang and I am 15 years old from the STE program, Marconi. My friends  usually call me by my first name, Lavinia or Jea. It's up to you if you call me either by one of them, or you can come up with a nickname. I am mostly interested in Arts, Games, Photography and Cats. I also like anything related to the country of Japan. Their culture is nice and they're very polite, they also have a lot of pretty places to visit. I wish to travel there someday. 

As I mentioned earlier, I like Arts. I like every form of Arts, it's either drawing, painting, sculpting and many more. I've been drawing since I was in kindergarten. Whenever I draw, I get so excited. My classmates were amazed that I like to draw, even when they're not that good. But as days, weeks, month and even years had passed, I have been improving my skills as an artist. By improving everyday, I can also use this skill at school. Not only on class, but also joining on competitions. I also draw some of my friends to give them as gifts! I always looked up to my seniors that are artists. Though, some of them already graduated. I aspire to be like them, that's why I try everyday. There are some times when making art can be painful, where you don't know what to create, to draw, to think. You are running out of ideas on how you can make it work, when you're scared to pick up a pencil and making art that doesn't satisfy you. But art doesn't have to be a masterpiece, if you do pour your feelings and emotions on your work, you can see a difference. If you don't like it, at least accept it. I am speaking from experience. I can't make art everyday, and when that happens, I long for myself holding a pencil and sketching on some paper. 

My first choice was actually going to an Art school in Japan to enhance my skills more. Then I thought of taking medicine first as my course, graduate, become a Doctor and study for a few more years to be a surgeon and then go pursue art. At least that's what they advised me to do, and that's what I'll be doing. Why surgeon? Because Biology is amazing. What kind? Neurosurgeon. Why not coconut. After all of that, I can save up money to take Japan a visit. Maybe migrate in another country, and have a lot of pet cats!
